Alphiya Joncas | Roxane Tremblay-Girard |

November 6 to December 17, 2017

This year, LA CHAMBRE BLANCHE awards its prize to an artist duo composed of Alphiya Joncas and Roxanne Tremblay-Girard. The Joncas and Tremblay-Girard duo will work in a production residency in our laboratories from November 6 to December 17, 2017.

Both artists also received the Tomber dans L’Œil award from artists centre L’Œil de Poisson. They will work site-specific in the small gallery of the centre in June 2018. For their exhibition, they want to use all the resources and the particularities of each of these two centres to produce a two-fold artwork. The duo will benefit from the technical support as well as the equipment and materials available at LA CHAMBRE BLANCHE to produce a module composed of several technical parts. Subsequently, these parts will be implemented site-specific in the small gallery of L’Œil de Poisson. This work will be adapted to the exhibition space. With this approach, time becomes a part of the process, the two artists will lay a gaze transformed by the forget of the work produced at LA CHAMBRE BLANCHE.

In doing so, they break up somehow with their previous works more centred on research.
