«Tutto conta e ha la medesima importanza, non seleziono più. Che libertà!» - Lisbon Story - Wim Wenders

LA CHAMBRE BLANCHE is proud to welcome the Italian artist Michela Mariani as part of the exchange with the Rad'Art center from August 10 to August 31, 2018. The presentation of her residency will take place on August 29 at 5pm.

During her stay at LA CHAMBRE BLANCHE, Michela Mariani wants to retrieve photos of people from Quebec City shared on social networks as well as photos from their personal archives. These pictures will serve as an excuse to meet the author behind the image. The encounter with the other is a fundamental element of her project.

The intention of the artist is to accumulate and archive these amateur images to create a new map of the city. Cartography no longer geographical, but emotional and anthropological. The images taken from the profiles of her meetings will become a digital album. The artist will use the space of the gallery as a reflection of the intimate and personal spaces of these encounters from digital media.
