During his four months stay at LA CHAMBRE BLANCHE, Alfonso Arzápalo develops a two-fold project: a city-base one and a second one which begins in the gallery on the 25th of November. Déjà fait (Ready-made) consists of a photo itinerary in which the artist captures photographs of public places he scouted out during his residence. He shows them in large format in the same context where they were created. Here, beyond its documentary role, photography questions the concept of art. Using methods which evoke the spirit of Duchamp's or Magritte's work, the young Mexican artist wants the passer-by to stop for a while and appreciate art in his daily life.
