From february, 25th to march, 30th 2008
Every year a price is given to a student finishing the School of visual arts in Laval University for his researches in Web art. This year the price was attributed to Jeanne Landry-Belleau. Her project Human chrysalis will focus on enhancing human values, hinging on tag clouds, in order to explore the foundations of participative web (web 2.0).
Bio
Jeanne Landry-Belleau vit et travaille à Québec. Active dans le milieu artistique, elle détient un baccalauréat en arts plastiques de l’Université Laval,concentration nouveaux médias. En 2007, dans le cadre de l’exposition des finissants, LA CHAMBRE BLANCHE lui remettait un prix pour l’excellence de ses recherches en art Web. À la même occasion, Diagonale lui remettait le prix du Centre des arts et des fibres du Québec, pour son oeuvre «La naissance de Vénus dans un code barre».
