With the project #microfugas, Set Experimental® will attempt to portray how unspoken relations between individuals is becoming increasingly virtual, ignoring the social physical contact. Within the framework of its residency at LA CHAMBRE BLANCHE, Set Experimental® will promote a digital environment in which the virtual meeting is close to the maximum of physical reality. Indeed, #microfugas consist in a video installation where it will be possible to have a real time conversation with people from other part of the world in one place: the gallery. Within this space, four seats - three with computers on it and one for the visitor - will be installed around a table. A webcam will be mounted on the ceiling of the gallery to send the visitor’s participation while each computer will also be connected to a webcam, allowing interaction between the various protagonists of the experience. With this project, Set Experimental® aims to enforce an emerging trial in our society : the clash between the virtual and the real relationships.

Bio

Giuliano Chiaradia est l’homme derrière Set Experimental®, une coopérative d’audiovisuel qui explore différents concepts de création. Actif sur le plan artistique depuis plus de vingt ans, il cré Set Experimental® en 1997 après un début de parcours professionnel en communication. Au cours des années qui suivent, il partage son temps entre le travail au sein de grandes chaînes télévisuelles et la production de projets vidéos indépendants. Récipiendaire de nombreux prix et distinctions, son travail a récemment été récompensé par le Gramado Film Festival dans la catégorie « Meilleur vidéo brésilien 2009 ».

Démarche

Set Experimental® produit de nouveaux concepts transmédia, c’est-à-dire de mise en réseau des médias. Sa proposition est de créer des phénomènes à travers un contenu multiplateforme et une propagation massive dans les médias sociaux.
