During his creation experiments on the Web for the occasion of his residency at LA CHAMBRE BLANCHE, Étienne Baillargeon wishes to translate the material relation that he maintains with reality by an investment in the virtual space. The artist will set up an interactive system between an user and virtual material seen as data flow, encoding process. To do so, he will use freeware allowing to conceive an interface which produces in real time images and sounds coming from sources given by the user. This transmutation practice will bring a poetic, playful and alive content. The multiple readings that this project offers fit into an aesthetics related to strangeness, asthonisment and organic that applies to Étienne Baillargeon’s artworks.
