Last spring, we awarded the l@ch@mbrebl@nche prize to Noémi Otis. As part of this prize, the artist takes advantage of a production residency in our laboratories from February 4 to March 21, 2020. We invite the public to meet the artist and discover her work on April 2, 2020 at 5 pm.
In her practice, Otis creates hermetic, protected, anxiogenic and vulnerable universes. She wonders about the notions of artificiality, aesthetics and distance between the real and the fake.
For her residency at LA CHAMBRE BLANCHE, Noémi Otis wishes to experiment with various technologies in order to deepen her relationship with the object. Indeed, she wants to make a box that will create an indirect relationship between a physical object and the spectator. The box and the digital interface will create a distance from the object, but at the same time the possibility of an exchange.
This residency will be an excuse for the artist to acquire new technical knowledge and apply it in the creation of her digital device.
