Research residency

From March 13th to May 5th 2013, Quebec artists Boris Dusmenil-Poulin and Marie-Pier April will work on a research residency in LA CHAMBRE BLANCHE's documentation centre. After a research and production residency at Laboratoire NT2 in Montreal during the summer 2012, both artist will carry on working on geopoetry, defined as follows: " a research and creation field oriented towards the exploration of the sensitive and intelligent relation to the earth, the space that environs the human; it strives to converge observations, reflexions, science derived intuitions, philosophy, poetry and arts." (definition by Atelier québécois de géopoétique La Traversée). For their work at LA CHAMBRE BLANCHE, Dusmenil-Poulin and April will immerse into a theoretical and analytical research on the subject by drawing as much from literature and visual arts, as from the history of scientific and artistic cartography.
