For our fifth micro-conference, we welcome Baron Lanteigne on April 27, 2021 at 2 pm on Zoom. Baron Lanteigne has been interested in the NFT art market for almost a year. His project Tangible Data, which is native to the web, is available at the Art Mûr gallery. This project falls within this critical perspective of the digital art market. Created with no other ambition than to rarefy the immaterial, the NFT art market recovers a human desire for material possession in order to adapt it to digital. This phenomenon stems from virtual communities promising to rebuild the world in art by abandoning all traditional institutions. Designed for the new native generations of the web, this culture elevates the digital image to the status of an object.
